Good Dog have chosen and sourced each ingredient with the utmost care and each one plays a vital role in producing a top quality product that will not only keep dogs clean and fresh, but externally healthy as well.
Good Dog products contain ingredients with reputations for being gentle on sensitive and delicate skins and extracts and essential oils that possess the properties required to maintain its health and moisture.
We have chosen botanical’s that aid in eliminating the growth of bacterial, fungal and parasitic issues that dogs may encounter in the course of their day.
ROSEMARY ESSENTIAL OIL:
Rosemary helps reduce unwanted odours from the dog’s coat. Promotes a stronger healthier coat and skin, and contains moisturising properties particularly good for dogs with Dander issues. In addition to anti-bacterial and anti-septic qualities it is also a natural anti-parasitic.
LAVENDER ESSENTIAL OIL:
Lavender Essential Oil has a calming effect not only on irritated skin but on irritated nerves as well, perfect for highly strung dogs, or those suffering the effects of a busy city life.
Lavender is also great for eliminating undesirable Odours from pets.
GREEN TEA EXTRACT:
Green Tea Extract contains powerful antioxidants required to protect your dogs coat and skin from environmental drying and damage. Perfect for dog’s living the city life.
GRAPEFRUIT SEED EXTRACT:
Grapefruit Seed Extract contains anti-septic, anti-biotic, anti-viral and anti-fungal properties to name but a few. These are all beneficial in helping to keep your dog free of parasites, fungal and bacterial infections that they may come into contact with.
Its anti-septic properties help to cleanse and heal cuts scratches or abrasions that dogs may incur during the cause of play.
ARGAN OIL:
Just as it does with human hair, Argan oil will help replace lost through nutrients in the dogs coat, strengthening, softening and moisturising the coat to keep it feeling and looking its best.
SEAWEED EXTRACT:
Seaweed is an essential choice for modern pet products due to its ability to nourish, hydrate and increase shine, without causing the coat to become limp or greasy.
OATMEAL EXTRACT:
Oatmeal contains “Saponins” that provide a deep cleansing action to remove unwanted dirt, while it’s high natural fat content revitalises the cells with the required level of moisture to stop skin from drying.
ALOE VERA EXTRACT:
This ever popular succulent is as good as its reputation. A great anti-inflammatory, Aloe Vera aids in repairing the damaged skins cells caused by itching and scratching. Its moisturising action soothes and replenishes dry irritated skin, making for a happier healthier pet.
VITAMIN E OIL:
Vitamin E Oil can be found in products such as Soybean Oil, Corn Oil, Wheat germ, Safflower and many others. Its role in our Shampoo is to help to reduce flakiness in dry skin and promote a healthier shinier coat.
CALENDULA EXTRACT:
This beautiful and bright little flower possesses equally bright attributes. It’s anti-septic and anti-microbial properties speeds up the healing process of irritated or broken skin.
Its anti-inflammatory action helps to sooth itchy and problematic skin areas caused by hot spots or fleas.
NEEM EXTRACT:
For our Neem Flea & Tick Spray we choose to harness its ability to deal with parasites. Working as an anti-feedant it breaks down the life-cycle of unwanted creepy crawlies and stops them from breeding.
Neem will help prevent seasonal allergies, nourish your dog’s coat and leave it looking healthy and shiny.
QUASSIA AMARA EXTRACT:
Originating from the Amazon, Quassia Amara is well known for its ability to keep parasites at bay and acts as an anti-feedant to break the breeding cycle of any already present.
It holds great anti-inflammatory properties perfect for use on skin aggravated from fleas and itching.
NATURAL FRAGRANCE:
We’re well aware of the possible irritating and drying effects artificial fragrances can have on an animal’s skin. Yet one of the purposes of Shampoo and Deodourisers is to keep pets smelling fresh.
At GOOD DOG we use only quality Natural Fragrances in all our products. We’ve chosen Green Apple, Coconut, Lemon, Oatmeal, Vanilla and Lavender.
